Usage Note 44786: JBoss application server files disappear when a LevN configuration directory is removed

DetailsAboutRate It

Files disappear from the JBoss application server that is configured with the Lev1 configuration directory when both of the following are true:

  • The Lev1 configuration directory and another Levn configuration directory have the same JBoss server names.
  • You remove the additional Levn directory.

This problem happens because the configured JBoss server names must be unique when you use JBoss as your Web application server and additional Levn configuration directories are created. If the server names are not unique, files are removed from the JBoss server.

For example, when you create a Lev1 configuration directory, the default name for the first JBoss server is SASServer1. If you create a Lev2 directory, the JBoss server name for the additional configuration should not be SASServer1. Instead, you need to create a unique name (for example, SASServer1Lev2).
